The Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train, is set to become England and Wales’ first luxury sleeper train. It will be offering three-night journeys through Cornwall, the Lake District, and Wales.
Departing from London, the Cornwall and Lake District routes run Friday to Monday. The Wales route runs Monday to Thursday, allowing guests to combine itineraries for an extended luxury experience. Nestled within its elegant blue carriages are 18 luxurious suites, including 3 Grand Suites with double beds, 11 Double Suites, and 4 Twin Suites.
Blending timeless rail heritage with contemporary British style and gastronomy, the Britannic Explorer offers three-night journeys through the stunning landscapes of Cornwall, the Lake District, and Wales. Departing from the London Victoria Station, the train features carriages adorned with art, bespoke wellness experiences, and fine dining by chef Simon Rogan. By night, relax in the bar or enjoy the train’s refined atmosphere. Exclusive off-train excursions may include a private tour and dinner at the renowned Hauser & Wirth Somerset Arts Centre or guided hikes through Wales and swimming in the Lake District.

DAY 1 – LONDON, ENGLAND
Welcome to London! On arrival, meet your private transfer at the airport and check in to your hotel for a two-night stay. Spend the rest of the day exploring the city at leisure, from Hyde Park to Oxford Street or Leicester Square.

DAY 2 – LONDON, ENGLAND
After breakfast, embark on a private four-hour London tour in a classic black cab, visiting top landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, a visit to Westminster Abbey, and more! Drive along London and escape the busy streets allowing you to take in the sights along the river Thames from the comfort of your own cab. In the afternoon, join your second private tour and visit the famous Churchill War Rooms with a knowledgeable guide – with stops along the most iconic buildings in London including the Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, and the Cenotaph. The rest of the afternoon is free to continue exploring London’s vibrant neighborhoods and historic sites.

DAY 3 – THE BRITANNIC EXPLORER
In the afternoon, meet your private transfer at your hotel and make way to London Victoria station to board the Britannic Explorer. DAY 6 – RETURN TO LONDON
